TOPIC: Tony Blair in the US
GUEST: Duncan Campbell, Guardian newspaper, based in Los Angeles
British prime minister, Tony Blair swapped the jeers of critics at home for the cheers of American lawmakers, as he visits the United States. Meanwhile the body of Iraqi arms expert David Kelly who was missing has apparently has been just found. Kelly was named as the possible source behind a BBC report claiming the British government "sexed up" its dossier on Baghdad's arms capabilities which was used to justify the launch of the war against Iraq in March.

( Less than a month after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the Texas sodomy law, Marcus Anthony Linarez, a gay 23-year old Guatemalan immigrant who entered the United States at age 10, faces deportation to Guatemala. Today, there will be a rally and Press Conference for Marcus Anthony Linarez, at the INS Building, at 606 S. Olive St. on the corner of 6th St. & S. Olive in LA. TOPIC: Art UprisingLabor Muralist in Los Angeles
GUEST: Mike Alewitz
Known as "the most prolific U.S. labor muralist since the 1940s", my next guest Mike Alewitz joins me in studio for a live interview on today's artistic uprising. Mike is not only an artist, he is also a labor activist and a peace and justice activist for more than three decades. In 1990, Mike painted the 23 by 48 foot mural on the garden wall of the Southern California Library. The mural is called "Labor Solidarity Has No Borders," and it depicts a mass of working people from the distant, smog-shrouded city of Los Angeles streaming toward the electrified, barb-wired US-Mexican border to cut through the frontier, uniting workers. Mike currently teaches mural painting at Central Connecticut State University and is the artistic director of the Labor Art and Mural Project. He is visiting Los Angeles this weekend for a summer reception tomorrow at 2 pm at the Southern California Library, located at 6120 S. Vermont Avenue (between Slauson and Gage). Mike will be joined by local guerilla artist Robbie Conal.
